WHAT IS PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physiotherapy or physical therapy is a service performed, supervised or supervised by a physiotherapist and consists of assessment, determining functional status (physiotherapeutic diagnosis), planning, intervention and evaluation.

Physiotherapy involves interaction between a physiotherapist, a patient or a client and family.
A physiotherapeutic procedure that starts with an assessment with particular attention to postural relationships, including cardiorespiratory, nervous and muscular potential, as well as the ability to move, focuses on determining the real problem and intervention strategy.
The assessment includes an overview of a person or group that begins with the acquaintance with the medical documentation. Through an interview with a patient / client / actual problem or potential impairments, functional constraints, disability or other health conditions. By additional screening and using special tests and measurements, the clinical conclusion is synthesized and physiotherapeutic diagnosis is made.
Physiotherapeutic diagnosis may be expressed in terms of movement disorders or may include categories of damage, functional constraints, disabilities or syndromes.

Planning begins by determining the need for intervention and leads to the development of an intervention plan, including measurable results of the goals agreed in cooperation with a patient or family. Alternatively, it may lead to referral to another expert in cases that are not suitable for physiotherapy, or are not within the scope of work of the physiotherapist.
The intervention is carried out and modified during the physiotherapy procedure for the purpose of achieving the agreed goals and may include: manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy and mechanical procedures, functional training, guidance and advice to the patient, coordinating and communicating with the patient / client and, if necessary, with his / her family. The intervention may also be aimed at preventing damage, functional constraints, incompetence and injuries, including the promotion and maintenance of health, quality of life and fitness in all ages and population groups
